Liisa Postareff is an Associate Professor of University Pedagogy at the University of Helsinki (since 2015) and currently serves as Head of the Research and Development Unit for Higher Education Pedagogy. Her work focuses on research and development in higher education pedagogy at national and international levels. She leads the PedaWell research group, investigating learning, teaching, and well-being interconnections in higher education contexts.

Her research emphasizes teaching methodologies, student learning experiences, and educator well-being. Key projects include the LearnWell learning experience survey and the Academy of Finland-funded THEwellbeing project (2022–2024), which examines teachers' well-being and pedagogical practices in higher education. She actively engages in policy development and pedagogical innovation within academic institutions.
Collaborative work is central to her role, involving interdisciplinary research teams and international partnerships. Her contributions bridge educational theory and practical implementation, aiming to enhance both teaching quality and educator well-being in academic environments.
