Lihua Jin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on mechanics of soft materials, continuum mechanics, and their applications in additive manufacturing, soft robotics, and stretchable electronics. She leads the Mechanics of Soft Materials Lab and has been recognized with multiple prestigious awards.
Education:
- PhD, Harvard University (2014)
Research Areas: Instability and fracture in soft materials, stimuli-responsive materials, nanomechanics, multiscale modeling, and biomechanics. Her work bridges fundamental mechanics with technological innovations in flexible systems.
