Liesbeth Bolhuis

Liesbeth Bolhuis is an Associate Professor and leader of the Behavioural Physiology research and education group at the Department of Adaptation Physiology, Wageningen University. She holds a MSc (1997) and PhD (2004) in Animal Science from Wageningen University, specializing in ethology and physiology. Her work focuses on the impact of environmental conditions, genetics, and early life experiences on animal welfare and behavior, particularly in pigs.

Research interests include individual personality traits, early life environmental influences on behavior, social interactions, and feeding strategies.
