Prof. Lies BOUTEN is a Full Professor at IÉSEG School of Management, Belgium, serving as Head of Research in the Department of Accounting. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics (Ghent University, 2011) and advanced degrees in Management and Economics. Her work bridges social and environmental accounting, focusing on CSR disclosure mechanisms, sustainability reporting practices, and control systems in hybrid organizations.

She also contributed to edited volumes on materiality assessment and CSR performance measurement.
Prof. BOUTEN is actively involved in the LEM research group. Her teaching includes research methodologies, financial analysis, and auditing corporate social responsibility at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
