Licun Xue is Associate Professor in McGill University's Department of Economics, specializing in game theory and its applications to microeconomics, trade, and political economy. He holds a PhD from McGill University and has held positions at University of Aarhus.
His research focuses on coalition formation, bargaining theory, free trade networks, and mechanism design. Notable contributions include developing frameworks for efficient free trade network formation, analyzing farsighted stability in coalitional games, and designing mechanisms for decentralized matching.
Professor Xue has published in leading game theory journals including Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, and International Journal of Game Theory. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in game theory, mechanism design, and advanced microeconomic theory.
