Licinia Güttel is a DPhil/PhD candidate in Internet, Communication, and Social Sciences at the Oxford Internet Institute (University of Oxford), supported by the Clarendon Fund. She concurrently serves as an associated researcher at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society in Berlin. Her research focuses on digitalisation as a politicised issue in European party competition and its intersection with elections. She leads the OII Elections Initiative, examining digital dynamics in global elections.
Education: Licinia holds a MSc in Social Science of the Internet from the University of Oxford and a dual BA in Political Science from Free University Berlin and Sciences Po Paris.
Teaching: She has experience as a teaching assistant for 'Digital Social Research: Methods Core' (MSc level) and a tutor for 'Political Sociology' (undergraduate level at DPIR).
Research Contributions: Her work spans AI policy federalism, subnational governance, and gender representation in European politics. She has contributed to projects like the Shaping AI initiative, focusing on German AI policy.
