Liborio Parrino is a Full Professor of Neurology at the University of Parma's Department of Medicine and Surgery. He is the Director of the Sleep Medicine Center and the School of Specialization in Neurology at the University of Parma. His roles include coordinating multidisciplinary diagnostic-therapeutic pathways for sleep disorders and serving as President of the Italian Association of Sleep Medicine (AIMS) since 2012. Parrino holds a PhD in Neurological and Neurosensory Disciplines and has extensive international collaborations, including contributions to the International Classification of Sleep Disorders (ICSD-2) and leadership in the World Association of Sleep Medicine (WASM).

His work bridges clinical practice, research, and global advocacy for sleep medicine.
