LiangJiang Wang

LiangJiang Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University. His research focuses on biological knowledge discovery, genomic data integration, and computational RNA biology. He develops machine learning models for predicting DNA/RNA-binding residues and protein stability, and mines gene expression data to understand molecular pathways in intellectual disability, autism, and cancer.

Current projects include:

• Functional annotation of human lncRNAs and circRNAs using deep learning
• Prediction of lncRNA subcellular localization
• Analysis of RNA-protein interactions
• Prioritization of candidate genes for neurodevelopmental disorders

His work demonstrates how genomic data mining provides insights into RNA functions and disease associations.
