Liane Young is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Boston College, where she directs the Morality Lab. She received her PhD from Harvard University and leads research in moral psychology and neuroscience, examining how theory of mind influences moral judgments. Her work integrates fMRI, patient studies, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.
Research Focus: Mechanisms of moral decision-making across cultural contexts, neural bases of empathy, and social prediction errors. Her lab investigates how cognitive processes shape ethical evaluations in diverse populations.
