Her research centers on the criminalization of environmental destruction (ecocide) in international law, individual criminal responsibility for mass atrocities, and the expressive function of international criminal justice. Current work examines ecocide definition-building processes, institutional enforcement challenges, and law-justice dynamics in environmental harm cases, while prior research analyzed culpability boundaries and gender dimensions at the ICC.
Publications reveal evolving expertise from foundational liability standards (2023 monograph) toward contemporary debates on ecocide (2021) and institutional interests in the Ongwen case (2021), with consistent engagement in gender justice (2022) and theoretical frameworks for commission liability (2022).
