Liam Dwyer

Liam Dwyer is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Central Clinical School within Sydney Medical School, Faculty of Medicine and Health at The University of Sydney. His academic role involves research focused on oncology and metabolic pathways in advanced prostate cancer.

Education: Liam is currently pursuing his PhD at The University of Sydney under the supervision of Professor Lisa Horvath and Tahlia Scheinberg. His thesis investigates ‘Evaluation of the effect of lifestyle changes on the lipid metabolism in metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer’.

Research Focus: His work bridges clinical oncology and metabolic biochemistry, examining how dietary and behavioral modifications influence lipid-driven mechanisms in treatment-resistant prostate cancer. Key areas include therapeutic lifestyle interventions, cancer progression biomarkers, and metabolic reprogramming in malignancies.
