معرفی
Liam D. Connor is an Assistant Professor of Astronomy at Harvard University, specializing in Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) and their cosmological applications. He also works at the intersection of artificial intelligence and astrophysics, particularly in computer vision methods for astronomical imaging and 3D reconstruction. Based at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA), he develops large radio telescope arrays to detect millisecond radio pulses.
- PhD in Astrophysics from University of Toronto
- Undergraduate degree from McGill University
His research focuses on unraveling the origins of FRBs while innovating AI-driven tools for analyzing complex astronomical data. At Caltech (2020-2024), he held prestigious positions as Tolman Prize Fellow and research faculty.
Scientific Awards:
- Tolman Prize Fellow
Liam collaborates with the Institute for Theory and Computation (ITC) at Harvard and has previously worked with ASTRON and the University of Amsterdam. His work bridges observational radio astronomy with computational methodologies.
