Li Zhang

Li Zhang is a Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Mississippi State University. With advanced degrees including a PhD in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, his research focuses on intelligent transportation systems, traffic operations, and transportation resilience. He is affiliated with the Saxton Transportation Research Laboratory and contributes to FHWA's open-source traffic simulation projects.

His scholarly recognition includes the Best Scientific Paper Award at the 2016 World Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems. Dr. Zhang actively participates in academic committees including IEEE transportation conferences and serves on editorial boards for transportation research journals.
