Li Xiao is an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship at the University of Leicester School of Business, where she contributes to research, teaching, and academic leadership. She previously served as Deputy Director of the Lancaster China Management Centre at Lancaster University Management School and as a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of Exeter Business School.
Her research focuses on entrepreneurial finance, early-stage high-tech ventures, institutional changes, and network ties within transition economies. She examines how evolving entrepreneurial ecosystems interact with improving regulatory frameworks, offering insights with theoretical, industrial, and policy relevance. Her work has achieved international recognition and impact.
Li Xiao has successfully secured external research funding and is actively involved in the academic community, currently serving as a Review Board member for the journal Entrepreneurship and Regional Development. She is committed to research supervision and contributes to the development of future scholars in the field of entrepreneurship.
