معرفی
Dr. Li Li is an Assistant Professor in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures at Durham University, specializing in interdisciplinary archaeological research with a focus on luminescence dating techniques. Her work bridges archaeology, environmental science, and cultural heritage preservation, addressing questions of human-environment interactions, historical disasters, and technological applications in ancient contexts.
Her research integrates cutting-edge dating methods such as optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and retrospective dosimetry, applied to diverse materials like pottery, bricks, and geological samples. Key projects include studying irrigation systems in the UAE, analyzing prehistoric monuments in Iberia, and investigating seismic events in Spain. She has contributed to international collaborations, including the 16th International Conference on Luminescence Dating (LED2021), and explores applications ranging from emergency radiation dosimetry to medieval building archaeology.
Dr. Li’s publications highlight methodological advancements in luminescence techniques, their application to understudied regions, and interdisciplinary approaches to historical environmental challenges. Her work emphasizes the interplay between material culture and societal contexts, offering new insights into ancient technologies and human adaptation.
