Associate Professor Lexine Stapinski is a Clinical Psychologist and academic at the University of Sydney's Matilda Centre for Mental Health and Substance Use. She holds dual affiliations with the Sydney Environment Institute and the Brain and Mind Centre. Her work focuses on preventing alcohol and substance use disorders, particularly through early intervention programs like 'Inroads' and 'Strong and Deadly Futures', which address cultural gaps in Indigenous health. A NHMRC TRIP Fellow, she leads national initiatives such as Positive Choices, translating evidence-based prevention strategies into actionable programs.
