Lewis Walker

Lewis Walker is the Deputy Head of The College of Food at University College Birmingham. He holds academic qualifications including MA, BA (Hons), PGCE, and Advanced Culinary Skills (CPD). His roles include leadership in curriculum development, teaching culinary arts, kitchen management, and future food strategies. He has extensive industry experience spanning restaurants, hotels, and food manufacturing collaborations with companies like Mars and Unilever.

Research focuses on global menu development, sustainable food systems, and industry partnerships. He supervises dissertations on culinary topics and leads initiatives with the West Midlands Combined Authority to address regional skills gaps. External engagements include serving as an External Examiner for Ireland’s Shannon College and advising international hospitality institutions.
