Dr. Lewis Graham is an Assistant Professor at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Law and Director of Studies at Christ's College. His research examines the intersection of human rights law, constitutional interpretation, and judicial decision-making, with particular focus on the UK Supreme Court and European Convention on Human Rights jurisprudence.
Graham's research interests center on judicial behavior in constitutional matters, the application of human rights treaties in domestic legal systems, and the evolving relationship between UK courts and the European Court of Human Rights. His work analyzes how courts balance legal precedent with contemporary rights challenges.
His publications demonstrate consistent focus on judicial decision-making patterns, constitutional interpretation methodologies, and the practical implementation of human rights protections. Recent articles examine judicial restraint trends, proportionality tests, and the doctrine of stare decisis in co-ordinate courts.
Graham maintains active engagement with legal practice as an Academic Door Tenant at Thomas More Chambers, advising on public international law matters and appearing before international tribunals.
