Lewis Alan Opler is a Professor at Long Island University in the Department of Psychology, specifically working with the Pre-Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. He holds both an MD and PhD and has made significant contributions to the field of psychiatry, most notably as co-author of the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and the Symptoms of Trauma Scale (SOTS).
