Letizia Savio

Letizia Savio is a Contract Professor affiliated with the Institute for Materials and Microsystems (IMEM) of the National Research Council (CNR) in Italy. She holds a secondary teaching role at the University of Genoa, where she instructs the LABORATORIO DI FISICA DELLA MATERIA for the Master of Science in Physics program. Her research focuses on advanced materials for energy storage, catalysis, and electrochemical systems, with particular emphasis on sustainable battery technologies, oxygen evolution reaction catalysts, and graphene-based nanomaterials.

Her work integrates synthesis of novel materials with advanced characterization techniques, addressing challenges in renewable energy conversion and storage. Recent projects include developing biochar-based anodes for lithium-ion batteries and identifying optimal supports for NiFe electrocatalysts in alkaline media. She has also contributed to studies on graphene-supported catalysts for CO₂ hydrogenation and thin-film superconductors.

Teaching responsibilities include experimental physics laboratories emphasizing materials characterization and physical properties analysis.
