Dr. Letizia Bonanno is a Research Fellow at the University of Vienna's Institute for Cultural and Social Anthropology, part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. She holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Manchester (2019) and has held academic positions at UK institutions, including a lectureship in Social Anthropology at Manchester. Currently, she is affiliated with the SEED Research Platform on 'Transformations and Eastern Europe' and the CaSt research group. Her work focuses on care regimes, austerity, biomedical practices, and graphic ethnography.

Recent Research: Her project 'Steel Life' explores environmental and labor struggles in Taranto (Italy) and Galati (Romania), applying feminist perspectives on social reproduction. Prior work includes 'Care under Austerity,' funded by an ESRC fellowship, analyzing gendered reorganization of care during the Greek crisis.
