Leslie F. Bleamaster III

Leslie F. Bleamaster III is a Part-time Professor of Geosciences at Trinity University, where he occasionally teaches courses in Planetary Geology and co-teaches an interdisciplinary Iceland program. He also serves as the manager of the Center for the Sciences and Innovation (CSI), supporting faculty research and teaching. His research focuses on planetary geology, particularly Mars and Venus, with expertise in remote sensing and geologic mapping. He holds a B.S. in Geosciences from Trinity University (2000) and a Ph.D. in Geology from Southern Methodist University (2003).

Dr. Bleamaster has been a NASA Early Career Fellow (2007) and contributed to NASA/USGS planetary mapping efforts, publishing geologic maps of Venus and Mars. He actively engages in K-12 STEM education through teacher workshops and classroom visits, fostering scientific curiosity among young students.

His academic affiliations include the Department of Earth and Environmental Geosciences and the Center for the Sciences and Innovation. He has collaborated with institutions like the Planetary Science Institute and NASA, advancing planetary science through interdisciplinary approaches.
