Leslie Baldwin Goetsch is a Lecturer in the Composition program at George Mason University and serves as director of the Northern Virginia Writing Project. She has extensive experience in literature and writing instruction across middle school, high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels.
- Education:
- BA in English from Duke University
- Masters in Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University
- Masters in Fine Arts (fiction) from George Mason University
Her research and professional work focuses on evidence-based writing instruction, composition theories, and educational practices. She has contributed to academic literature through a peer-reviewed article on the evolution of writing projects and a published novel.
Leslie has co-directed the Maryland Writing Project and played leadership roles in the Student Writers Workshop and Teacher Summer Institute. She has actively participated in the National Writing Project Annual Meeting for four decades.
