Leonie Hans

Leonie Hans serves as a Part-time Lecturer at the Westfalen-Lippe Study Institute (Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences) since 2024 and manages KreativInstitut.OWL since 2022, driving integration of academic institutions to strengthen cultural/creative industries in the OWL region through science-industry cooperation.

• Industrial Clerk qualification, Wortmann Schuh-Holding KG (2014)

Her research focuses on Digital Media Production, Composition/Sound Design, and Digital Humanities with emphasis on Music Informatics. She pioneers knowledge transfer to sustainably develop cultural/creative sectors through interdisciplinary projects blending media technology and industry applications.

KreativInstitut.OWL under her leadership executes initiatives like the Center for Sustainable Digital Construction (with TH OWL Civil Engineering) and Electric Car Express mobility solutions. The institute hosts Detmold Design Week, Augmented Reality workshops, and NFDI4Culture collaborations, establishing a regional hub for creative innovation and future-oriented media technologies.
