Leona Chandra is a Professor at the Department of Information Systems, University of Agder. Her research explores how digital technologies shape human experiences in work and leisure, emphasizing ethical design principles for support, pleasure, and security. She investigates emerging technologies like NFTs, digital companions, and immersive systems, with notable work on virtual wine tasting and hybrid work design.
Her research has earned prestigious awards including the Young Researcher Award 2024 and multiple best paper recognitions. She serves as Senior Editor for the European Journal of Information Systems and chairs major conferences like ICIS and DESRIST. Her contributions span over 30 peer-reviewed articles in top journals like Journal of Management Information Systems and Journal of the AIS, focusing on design science, sustainability, and digital innovation.
