Leon Radix serves as an instructor in the Department of Biology, Ecology, and Conservation at St. George's University, where he has taught since 2015 after eighteen years as a biology teacher in Grenada's public school system. He is currently pursuing his PhD under the supervision of Chris Short and Dr. Philip Staddon at the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI).
His academic credentials include:

- MSc in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Gloucestershire
Radix's research integrates practical conservation with community engagement, focusing on agricultural sustainability, mangrove ecosystem restoration, and insect biodiversity. His fieldwork emphasizes locally driven solutions for environmental challenges in Caribbean coastal regions.
He actively shapes conservation policy through leadership roles as outgoing president of Gaea Conservation Network, board member of Ocean Spirits, and St. George's University representative on Grenada's National Marine Protected Areas Advisory Board. Recent projects include leading watershed management consultancies across Grenada and spearheading mangrove habitat restoration in St. Vincent.
