Leon Lifschutz is a Lecturer of Education at the University of Vermont (UVM), affiliated with the College of Education and Social Services and the Department of Education. He holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UVM (2020), an MS.Ed. in Secondary Education from D'Youville College (Social Studies concentration), and a B.A. in History from York University, Toronto.
Prior to academia, he led UVM's club sports program for 14 years, expanding its规模 and developing curricula around student development, leadership, and sustainability. His research focuses on coaching, curriculum design, leadership, and student development, with publications in the Recreational Sports Journal. He currently teaches courses in physical education, educational leadership, and secondary education while maintaining roles in Vermont hockey communities, including coaching UVM Men's Club Hockey and advising amateur hockey associations.
