Leo M. Bastos is an Assistant Professor in Integrative Precision Agriculture at the University of Georgia-Athens, within the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences and the Department of Crop & Soil Sciences. His research utilizes proximal and remote sensing, geospatial soils data, and temporal weather data to optimize crop management practices at both field and regional scales, with a specific emphasis on nitrogen fertilizer management and crop quality mapping.
Dr. Bastos teaches courses on
