Leo J. Fleishman

Leo J. Fleishman is the William D. Williams Professor of Biological Sciences at Union College, affiliated with the Biology Department. His research focuses on sensory systems, environmental influences on animal communication, and visual ecology in anoline lizards. He teaches courses in biology, including Diversity of Life, Topics in Physiology, and Animal Behavior.

Research Interests: Fleishman investigates how color and motion perception interact with the physical properties of visual displays in lizards. His work emphasizes evolutionary adaptations in signal perception and ecological factors shaping communication.
