Lena Karber is a Researcher and Doctoral Candidate at the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 138 'Dynamics of Security' (subproject C09) at Justus Liebig University Giessen since 2022. Her work focuses on media and film history, with a current research project exploring debates around the death penalty in the U.S. and West Germany through cinema. She holds an MA (2019) and BA (2016) in Journalism History and History from the same university, with theses analyzing Che Guevara's portrayal in film and the radicalization of Ulrike Meinhof.
