Lemuel Aigbivbalu

Lemuel Aigbivbalu, MD, is a Clinical Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), affiliated with the Institute of Translational Science. He serves as Medical Director for Inpatient Pediatrics and leads the Pediatrics Service Line. His academic qualifications include an MD from Central America Health Science University - Ladyville, Belize (2001).

His research focuses on pediatric infectious diseases, neonatal infections, antibiotic pharmacokinetics, and biocontainment strategies. Key areas include managing pediatric patients in biocontainment units, neonatal bacteremia, and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
