Dr. Leila Angod is an Assistant Professor in the Childhood and Youth Studies Program at Carleton University's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, with a cross-appointment to the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. (Hons) from the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on critical race feminisms, anticolonial theory, and youth participatory action research (yPAR), exploring how hierarchies are institutionalized through feelings, policies, and subjectivities. Her work challenges anti-Black racism in education and centers youth agency in co-research projects.
