With extensive experience in operational, commercial, project, and strategy roles across the international resources sector, she has worked for companies such as ExxonMobil, Santos, and Rio Tinto. Her current focus involves supporting the commercialization of research and technology related to critical minerals supply for the energy transition.
Leigh's global perspective stems from assignments in Australia, North America, the UK, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, and Chile. She emphasizes strategic leadership to deliver tangible business outcomes, particularly in heavy industry and manufacturing. Her research interests align with sustainable minerals processing, environmental engineering, and energy transition technologies.
Her career includes high-level management roles, such as Site General Manager at Port Bonython Refinery and Boyne Aluminium Smelters. She bridges academic research with industrial application, driving innovation in metallurgical and sustainable energy systems.
