Dr. Leigh Green is an Associate Professor of Education and Counseling Program Director at the Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences, West Texas A&M University. She joined the faculty in 2012 and holds a Ph.D. in counselor education and supervision from Texas Tech University (2012), alongside M.Ed. degrees from Texas Tech (2009) and Middle Tennessee State University (2003), and a B.S. in sport management from the University of Tennessee (1998).
Her research focuses on student veterans' transition to higher education, women veterans' experiences, and rape culture in academic and community settings. She also investigates traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder among military personnel. Dr. Green teaches courses including theories of counseling, multicultural education, ethics, and crisis counseling, contributing to both the counseling program and the department's graduate curriculum.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (Texas) and Nationally Certified Counselor, actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association and Texas Counseling Association. Her work has been presented at regional/national conferences, though specific publications are not detailed here.
