Leigh Cohen

Leigh Cohen (she/her) is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Northwestern University's School of Communication, specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) within the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Her work focuses on evidence-based clinical methods across adult and pediatric populations, with affiliations to the Simulation Lab.

Clinically, she has 10 years of experience in diagnosing and rehabilitating medically complex clients in acute care, inpatient, and outpatient hospital settings. Her teaching spans courses like CSD 461-0 (AAC Across the Lifespan) and advanced clinical methods training for both adult and pediatric populations.
