Leia Carter is a Part-time Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design, The New School. She is a writer, communication designer, and educator specializing in identity, interconnectedness in natural systems, and technology's role in human narratives.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Arts in English (minor in British Studies), Virginia Commonwealth University
- Bachelor of Sciences in Urban Psychology (pre-medicine track), Virginia Commonwealth University
- Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (fiction), The New School
Research Interests: Hybrid genre work, visual culture studies, physics, linguistics, and comparative mythology. Her thesis Programming as Myth and Metaphor explored coding semantics/semiotics.
