معرفی
Lei GONG is an Associate Professor at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University, China. He has been with the institution since 2011, focusing on asymmetric synthesis, catalysis, and photochemical reactions.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Xiamen University (2008)
- Bachelor of Science, Xiamen University (2002)
His research interests include asymmetric synthesis of chiral complexes, synthesis and application of cyclic metallized complexes, and asymmetric and visible light catalysis. His work explores radical chemistry, C-H bond activation, and enantioselective transformations using transition metal catalysts.
Recent publications highlight trends in photocatalytic asymmetric synthesis, C-H functionalization, and visible light-driven reactions. Key subfields include enantioselective coupling, regio- and stereoselective reactions, and metal-templated catalysis. His team investigates applications in pharmaceuticals and advanced materials.
Lei GONG has mentored researchers in asymmetric catalysis and collaborated on projects related to Li-O2 battery technology and redox reactions. He actively contributes to Nature, Angewandte Chemie, and Journal of the American Chemical Society, with some works featured as cover art or highlighted in SYNFACTS and ChemistryViews.
