Lei GONG

Lei GONG is an Associate Professor at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University, China. He has been with the institution since 2011, focusing on asymmetric synthesis, catalysis, and photochemical reactions.

His research interests include asymmetric synthesis of chiral complexes, synthesis and application of cyclic metallized complexes, and asymmetric and visible light catalysis. Recent publications highlight trends in photocatalytic asymmetric synthesis, C-H functionalization, and visible light-driven reactions. Key subfields include enantioselective coupling, regio- and stereoselective reactions, and metal-templated catalysis. His team investigates applications in pharmaceuticals and advanced materials.
