Rafał Loska

Assoc. Prof. Rafał Loska is affiliated with the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences, where he leads a scientific group focused on advanced organic synthetic methods. His research spans catalytic C–H activation, nucleophilic substitution of hydrogen, enantioselective polycyclic scaffold construction, and computational modeling of chemical reactions.

Research Trends

His recent publications (2021–2023) emphasize C–H activation, cycloaddition reactions, and computational reaction modeling, with applications in alkaloid synthesis and asymmetric catalysis. Collaborative work with Prof. Mieczysław Mąkosza and PhD students explores novel reaction mechanisms and stereoselectivity.

Currently leading the OPUS NCN grant 2022/47/B/ST4/01498 for palladium-catalyzed enantioselective polycyclic alkaloid scaffolds.
