Leesa Anzaldo is an Assistant Teaching Professor (LPSOE) in the Department of Mathematics at UC San Diego, specializing in mathematics education and curriculum development.
Education: Ph.D. in Mathematics from UC Irvine (2015), B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from UC Berkeley (2007). Previous appointments include Director of the Pre-Calculus Program at UW-Madison (2016-2018) and lecturer positions at UCSD, UW-Madison, Bunker Hill Community College, and Northeastern University.
Teaching focus includes lower-division mathematics, introduction to proofs, and abstract algebra. She has extensive experience in course design for Precalculus, Calculus, and Linear Algebra, with innovative approaches to active learning and student engagement.
