Ko Woon Ohm is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Iowa (2010). Prior to UCSD, she served as a Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin until 2016. Her research focuses on regularity theory of partial differential equations (PDEs), free boundary problems, Fourier analysis, and their applications. She has contributed to studies on elliptic/parabolic equations in Reifenberg domains and geometric measure theory.
Teaching-wise, Dr. Ohm has extensive experience instructing calculus, pre-calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra courses at UCSD. Her teaching portfolio includes roles as instructor for courses such as Math 3B, Math 20C, and various iterations of calculus and analysis modules. She emphasizes curriculum development in foundational mathematics courses for science and engineering students.
Her research publications include works on projection theorems in geometric spaces and regularity results for elliptic equations. She actively contributes to academic discourse through preprints and peer-reviewed journals.
