Leena Dallasheh is a Research Fellow at the Taub Center for Israel Studies at New York University. She holds a PhD in History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from NYU and a law degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her research focuses on the social and political history of Palestinian citizens of Israel, particularly in Nazareth, examining citizenship rights, identity, and state interaction. Key themes include the transition from the British Mandate to Israeli statehood, the al-’Ard pan-Arab nationalist movement (1950s–60s), and water governance as a site of citizenship struggle.
