معرفی
Lee Ji-eun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Sejong University's Ocean Humanity College since March 2023. Previously, she served as Assistant Professor (2017-2023) and Visiting Professor (2014-2017) at the same institution. Her academic journey includes postdoctoral research positions at Ewha Womans University and Kyung Hee University.
Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in Mathematics (Functional Analysis) from Ewha Womans University (2008), a Master's degree in Analysis from the same institution (2003), and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Gyeongsang National University (2001).
Professor Lee's research focuses on Operator Theory, with particular emphasis on Toeplitz operators, complex symmetric operators, and spectral theory. She leads the Operator Theory Laboratory and has published extensively in top mathematical journals. Her work explores the properties and applications of various operator classes in function spaces, including Newton spaces and Hardy spaces.
Her recent publications reveal a consistent focus on operator theory with increasing specialization in Toeplitz operators on Newton spaces, complex symmetric operators, and m-isometric operators. Her research demonstrates strong connections between different classes of operators and their spectral properties.
- Research Excellence Professor Award (2022)
- Teaching Excellence Award (2017)
Professor Lee has successfully secured multiple research grants from the National Research Foundation of Korea, including the Leap Forward Project (2022-2024) and Mid-career Research projects (2019-2022, 2016-2019). She has mentored numerous undergraduate researchers who have gone on to successful careers in academia, finance, and technology sectors. Her Operator Theory Laboratory serves as a hub for advanced mathematical research and student training in functional analysis.
