Lee Edmondson

Lee Edmondson is a Lecturer in Sport Business Management at Sheffield Hallam University's School of Sport and Physical Activity, part of the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. He joined full-time in 2022 after 10 years in research and consultancy at the Sport Industry Research Group (SIRG). His teaching focuses on sport business functions, innovation, and real-world problem-solving through research methods. He supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and has international teaching experience with SHAPE in Hong Kong.

Edmondson's research centers on semi-professional football, program evaluation, and major event impacts. He has collaborated with organizations like the R&A, UK Sport, and the Rugby Football Union. His work explores dual-career challenges for non-league footballers, player development in the English Non-League System, and community engagement through sport. He is affiliated with the Sport and Physical Activity Research Centre and Health Research Institute.

Recent publications highlight his focus on football governance, public health interventions, and the socio-economic role of sport. He actively contributes to academic conferences and is a member of the Football Collective.
