Lee-Ann Breuch is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education in the Department of Writing Studies at the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts. She holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from Iowa State University (alongside an MA and BA in English). Her research focuses on writing theory, usability, digital pedagogy, and online instruction. She has authored influential books, including Involving the Audience: A Rhetorical Perspective of Using Social Media to Improve Websites (2018) and Virtual Peer Review (2004).

Her work explores rhetoric in digital spaces, including social media, websites, and professional organizations. She has led initiatives like the Edentity project and co-directed the Technical Communication Advisory Board, which connects industry professionals with students. She has served as Department Chair (2017–2022) and Director of Undergraduate Studies (2007–2017).
Awards include the 2002 Distinguished Teaching Award and the 2022 CPTSC Distinguished Service Award. She is a former president of the Council for Programs in Technical and Scientific Communication (CPTSC) and co-edits their journal Programmatic Perspectives.
