Leanne Stevens is a Teaching Professor and Associate Dean Academic in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University, part of the Faculty of Science. She holds a BSc (Honours Psychology) from Acadia University and both MSc and PhD degrees in Neuroscience from Dalhousie. Her work focuses on advancing science communication, experiential learning, and open educational resources (OER). She pioneered the adoption of an open textbook for introductory psychology and neuroscience courses (PSYO 1011/1012/1031/1032), supported by Dalhousie’s first OER grant.

In her administrative role as Associate Dean Academic, she oversees initiatives that align with her passion for pedagogical excellence and equity in education. Her contributions to open educational resources aim to reduce barriers to learning and promote collaborative knowledge-sharing.
