Professor Leanne Hepburn is a Professor at the University of Essex's School of Life Sciences, with roles including Director of Education (2019-2022) and Employability Director (2017-2019). She holds a PhD in Coral Reef Geoscience from Manchester Metropolitan University (2006-2010), an MSc in Marine and Fisheries Sciences (2000-2001), and a BSc in Zoology with Marine Biology (1994-1998), both from the University of Aberdeen.
Her research focuses on marine conservation (coral reefs, oyster ecology, mesophotic reefs), sustainability solutions, and innovative pedagogy.
