Dr. Leanna Booze Renfro is a Visiting Lecturer of Music in the Department of Music at Arkansas Tech University's Arts & Humanities school, where she teaches applied oboe and performance courses. She concurrently serves as Principal Oboe for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and maintains an active performance schedule with the Peninsula Music Festival during summers.
Education
Dr. Renfro holds the following degrees:
- BM from Vanderbilt University
- MM from San Francisco Conservatory of Music
- DMA from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
Research Focus
Her expertise centers on oboe performance techniques, orchestral repertoire, and pedagogical methods for music education. She specializes in preparing students for performance milestones through applied instruction and recital development.

Professional Engagements
Beyond academia, she performs with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra as Principal Oboe since 2013 and participates in summer performances at Wisconsin's Peninsula Music Festival. Previous positions include Principal Oboe for the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (2007-2015) and teaching roles at Belmont University and University of Louisville.
