Prof. Dr. Leander D. Loacker holds the Chair in Private and Business Law at the University of Zurich's Faculty of Law. His expertise spans private law, business law, insurance law, and technology law. His research emphasizes cross-border transactions, antitrust regulation, and consumer protection, with a focus on Swiss-EU legal interactions. He leads the Center for Innovation, Risk and Responsibility (CIRR), addressing technology law challenges. Notably, he was appointed Deputy Judge at Liechtenstein's Princely Supreme Court (2022–2026) and serves as academic director for Zurich's successful Vis Moot teams. His work includes legal commentary on Swiss Insurance Contract Act (VVG) and antitrust law reforms. He was shortlisted for the Credit Suisse Teaching Award, reflecting his commitment to pedagogy.
