Leah Williams is a Medical Educator at the School of Medicine, University of Sunderland. She graduated with an MBBS (Hons) from Newcastle University (2019) and earned an MMedEd (Distinction) from the University of Sunderland (2023). Her work focuses on clinical reasoning and healthcare simulation, particularly in designing pre-clinical simulation curricula for Phase 1 MBChB Medicine students. She was awarded the
- TASME Teaching Innovation and Excellence Prize (2024)
Leah balances her academic role with clinical practice as a trust grade doctor at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Her research explores barriers to clinical reasoning in high-fidelity simulation and quality assurance in medical education assessments.
