Claire Leader is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University's Nursing Midwifery and Health Department, specializing in nursing education and healthcare leadership. She currently oversees the Adult Nursing cohort of ~300 students, managing program design, student support, and quality assurance. Her research focuses on NHS workforce wellbeing and policy implementation, with a PhD expected in 2025. She contributes to pre-registration nursing programs at Glasgow Caledonian University as an external examiner.
Education includes an MA in Sociology from Newcastle University (2012) and a PGCert in Academic Practice from Northumbria (2020).
